I C O N O G R A P H Y

This is a portfolio gallery of my written icons in my personal collection. I do accept commissions for icons. Please contact me for information. The icons are written using traditional, enduring methods of egg tempera, gold leaf, rabbit skin glue, and gesso on wooden panels. My great uncle, Father Gerasimos Sawaya founded the first Eastern Catholic Melkite (Byzantine Rite) Church in Los Angeles over 100 years ago, Saint Anne’s Cathedral. This is my spiritual tradition, and I was blessed to study with two beloved iconography teachers, Nancy Jackson in Vallejo, California, and Virginia Barber of Vancouver Washington.
