Collageamatics Class Exhibition!

at a reception for our WSU exhibit, January, 2006. Fifteen people who've attended my Monday night collage class exhibited their gorgeous collages at the campus in Vancouver, Washington. It was a superb show.

•private group classes available; email me for more info or to arrange a "collage party" for you and your friends or for your kids and their friends!
this is a weekly drop in group that is an opportunity to make a piece of art in one night. i provide all of the materials. you just come and play from 6:30-9:30 pm. by the end of the evening, you will have finished one collage, which can give you access to inner wisdom, as well as being fun. $20 per session, or 4 classes for $60 purchased in advance. if you'd like to come, you need to call or email me by FRIDAY prior to the monday class to reserve a place. you can attend once, every week, or every so often. bring a friend!

acrylic/collage one-day painting workshop • next workshop spring, 2008. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

this one day workshop is a fun exploration of collage together with acrylic paint. it is  an extension of my monday night drop-in collage class.  i have used this powerful combination of media to illustrate book covers, magazine articles, and to produce fine art. magazine images or personal photos are the starting point for a very personal expression that can be provocative, funny, beautiful, nostalgic, symbolic, as you like.
• workshop participants are exposed to a variety of techniques with acrylic paint, how to integrate collage images with paint, and how to transform images from one idea into another.
• all materials are provided; you may bring personal images to include. this is a creative opportunity for artists of any experience level. A finished piece will be created by day's end.
• Cost is $85 and includes all materials. bring your own lunch; refreshments provided. please contact me for more information; $40 deposit requested to reserve your space.

SoulCollage®, was developed by Seena Frost in California. it's a process
where one learns to make their own tarot cards using collage technique. eventually a deck of personal cards are made and may be used for inspiration, guidance, and personal readings.

In june, 2003, i trained to become a SoulCollage® facilitator and am delighted to teach this wonderful process called SoulCollage which is very similar to my monday night collage classes that i've been teaching for several years.

a Friday night introduction to SoulCollage from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The next day, Saturday, is an all day workshop (11 to 4:30) with SoulCollage--an opportunity for in-depth study, a day of making cards, and having time to write and read about your cards. Fee for Friday night and Saturday is $85. limited to 7 participants; includes all materials.

islamic tile painting class • email me to sign up for next class starting!
class meets Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
during this 6 week class, we will look at historic examples of islamic tiles and learn a process of painting Islamic tile designs using contemporary underglazes and glazes on pre-made 6" tiles. learn how to modify and transfer designs onto tile and then paint. you will complete one or two beautiful tiles to take home and use, frame, install, give as a gift, or reproduce into a print for a greeting cards. class size is limited to 6 people. $145 for the class or $160 with all materials supplied. no art experience is necessary. please contact me for information or to sign up.

saturday kid's art class—Saturday afternoon 2 to 4 p.m.

during each saturday afternoon session, kids will complete different projects using different media each class. class size is limited to 6 kids, ages 5 and up. $20 per session, from 2:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon. please contact me by Wednesday before the saturday you wish to sign up or for more information.

this special Halloween class will fill up quickly, so sign your kids up right away! kids will make their own designs which will be painted on the hands for Halloween. henna, a natural dye, will remain on the skin for one to two weeks.

mandala painting class • 12 week course • contact me to be on the list for the next class, spring, 2008
the mandala is a mirror or magnifying glass for self-exploration as well as
a medium into meditation. In this amazing class, you will begin a painting
journey through layers of paint and consciousness. this is a spiritual
exploration for artists and "non-artists" alike in a small group, using
gouache, a water based paint on paper. the art of mandala painting is a
creative process of healing and integrating the conscious with the
unconscious mind. this is an opportunity to learn how to paint intuitively, accessing
information that is within and giving it a visual form, as you paint your
unique, soul-inspired sacred Mandala.
the class meets 10 thursday evenings and 3 saturday afternoons and requires
painting time during the week to complete the mandala, and is limited to six participants. This class is for everyone whether or not you have painting experience. Course fee is $260 plus materials, or $300 including materials. email me for more information.

this is a six week class that meets on wednesday evenings from 6:45-9:15. we will complete 2 different self portraits in a variety of media including acrylic paint and collage. class size is limited to 6 people. $145 or $175 with all materials supplied.* no art experience necessary! please contact me for information and dates for the next class.
